Pleasantly surprised
I needed a shelf to hold a collection thin paperback scripts but had very little uninterrupted wall space to devote to a bookshelf. This corner unit seemed to fit the bill and the price was right.
In choosing this piece I opted for function over form thinking it not very pretty. However once I had it assembled and hung on the wall I thought it a shame to hide it behind a bedroom door where it cannot be seen -- it's surprisingly pleasant to look at.
It is also surprisingly sturdy (anchored to the wall at each panel) and is now holding 90 scripts with room for more. However bookends (or small decorative items) are recommended.

Absolutely love this bookcaseI was a little leery about ordering this bookcase as the other review said it was wobbly. But it exactly fit in the small area I needed - 25 inches so I ordered it anyway. Also it was on sale on the Friday specials so the price was very reasonable. I am so glad I purchased this item as it is fantastic! Very well built does not wobble at all the finish on it is beautiful with no flaws - a nice espresso dark color. I even bought the two baskets that fit on the bottom shelf and it makes for a beautiful bookshelf unit. Don't hesitate to purchase it if you are looking for a small bookcase for a small area. You will be very happy with how well built this book case is.

SAVE YOUR MONEY!
The instructions are rather hard to follow. If you make a mistake it won't forgive you. You'll end up with a bookshelf full of holes. The center is not safe and easy to separate. I'm about to have a kid and I wouldn't feel comfortable having my baby around it. I just bought this bookshelf and I'm already throwing it away. Seriously don't get fool by the price. It's better to spend a little more money but having the confidence its safe and easy to assemble and disassemble. Invest on peace of mind.

Solid but baffling design decision
The case is solid and easy to assemble but the two pieces which "frame" the left and right of the front are not long enough to touch both the top and bottom of the case. You are left either leaving about half an inch on both ends (tough to eyeball that) or about an inch on either the top or bottom. To add to the frustration there are no predrilled notches on those pieces and you really have to crank in the screws when assembling.

Good furniture for the priceI bought two of these shelves and am very pleased with them. They are attractive and sturdy and the folding action works smoothly.
The packaging shows care -- the shelves are individually wrapped to avoid any nicks during shipping and the small hardware is in its own box with a very clear inventory so that you can check that you have everything before you get started. There's a part replacement order form in case anything is left out of your shipment but both of mine were complete. (These might seem like obvious precautions but I've ordered lots of assemble-yourself furniture that wasn't nearly so well thought-out.)
Assembly is not too hard. The instructions suggest that you might want an extra pair of hands but I found that if I leaned the side piece against the wall while I was installing cross-bars I could put together the whole thing by myself with no tools or materials other than the ones included (and I am not an especially handy person). After the previous review I was worried that the pieces might not be made precisely enough to fit together well but I didn't have too much trouble there; following the directions and tightening the screws gradually I was able to get the whole thing to come together snugly.
I've loaded the finished shelves up with books (including some pretty heavy dictionaries and art books) and they're showing no bending or strain. I may buy more of these for other rooms.
